On December 1, 2019, Wayne Conroy, officially became the Village’s Fire Chief.  Wayne has been a firefighter/EMT for

10 years.  He joined the Clinton Fire Department 8 years ago.  Chief Conroy, also serves on the Plain Township Fire Department.  He was part of the Chippewa Department for 9 years.

At this time, Fire Chief is still a part-time position.  It takes a special person to step into that role; while having to maintain another job.  Not to mention, keeping up with two active teenagers. Clinton is fortunate to have someone with Wayne’s, qualifications, passion, dedication, and experience, as our new Fire Chief.

Chief Conroy is a veteran of the United States Army.  He served one tour of duty in Kuwait and two tours of duty in Iraq.  Thank you for your service, Wayne.

After being honorably discharged, Wayne, his wife Ellen, and son Ethan made the Village of Clinton their home. Shortly after, their daughter Adrian joined the family. Ellen serves as a member of the Village Council, as well as working a full time job.  Ethan (15) and Adrian (13) attend the High and Middle Schools at Northwest Local School District.  In the past twelve and a half years they have truly enjoyed being a part of our community and participating in keeping our heritage while looking toward the future.
